AJANG Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) 2021 berlangsung di Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, Amerika Serikat, pada Minggu (23/5), waktu setempat. Penyanyi The Weeknd jadi peraih penghargaan terbanyak dalam penghargaan bergengsi tersebut. Ia membawa 10 pernghargaan.
Pria asal Kanada itu memenangi kategori Top Artis, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist, dan Top R&B Album. Ia juga menjadi artis yang masuk dalam nominasi terbanyak BBMA tahun ini dengan total 16 kategori.

Selain The Weeknd, boy band asal Korea Selatan BTS juga meraih empat pengharagaan di BBMA 2021. Tahun ini untuk pertama kalinya mereka memenangi Top Song Sales Artist dan Top selling Song untuk single berbahasa Inggris pertama mereka, Dynamite. BTS tercatat sudah lima kali berturut-turut mendapatkan predikat sebagai Top Social Artis di BBMA.
Ajang penghargaan yang dihadiri sekitar 500-600 orang itu berlangsung dengan protokol kesehatan pandemi COVID-19 yang ketat. Jumlah penonton yang hadir dalam acara tersebut telah memecahkan rekor terbesar untuk acara penghargaan Hollywood di tengah pandemi sejauh ini.
